UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS

Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement

The two most common ways to round out Original Medicare. Here is the plain-language difference.

What is the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement? Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare through a private plan that usually bundles prescription drugs and extra benefits, using a provider network. A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare to help pay your out-of-pocket costs and lets you see any doctor who accepts Medicare.

Medicare & coverage questions, answered

MEDICARE FAQ

Yes. There is no cost or obligation to speak with a licensed agent. Agents are paid by the insurance carriers, so your premium is the same whether you enroll through us or on your own.

Most individuals become eligible at age 65.
However, you may also qualify earlier due to certain disabilities or conditions. An agent
can help you determine your exact enrollment window.

Original Medicare (Part A & B) is a fee-for-service program, while Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative way to get your benefits, often bundling medical, hospital, and drug coverage into one plan. An agent can help you compare which structure fits your healthcare needs.
Yes. Choosing a prescription drug plan (Part D) depends heavily on the specific medications you take. Our agents can help you look at drug formularies to find a plan that covers your prescriptions at the lowest cost.

Original Medicare does not cover routine dental care such as cleanings, fillings or dentures. Many Medicare Advantage plans include a dental benefit, and standalone dental plans are also available. A licensed agent can show you which options in your area include dental.

Medicare is federal health insurance based mainly on age or disability. Medicaid is a joint state and federal program based on income. Some people qualify for both, which is called dual eligible, and may be able to enroll in a special plan that combines the benefits.

IRMAA stands for Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount. It is an extra amount added to your Medicare Part B and Part D premiums if your income is above a set threshold. The thresholds are updated each year, and an agent can help you understand whether it applies to you.

UNDER 65 / ACA FAQ

ACA plans are government-subsidized marketplace plans that offer standardized benefits based on income, while private plans are off-exchange options that may offer different network access and portability for those who do not qualify for or desire subsidies.

Not necessarily. While many people qualify for ACA subsidies based on income, our agents can help you explore both subsidized and private market options to see which path is most cost-effective for your specific financial situation.

Yes. Self-employed individuals and gig workers often have fluctuating incomes, making professional guidance essential to navigate tax credits and the best time to enroll in coverage.
